The ZAPI ACE2 evolution controller (as shown in the photo — FZ5444-NA.8821933, 36-48V/450A, DISS.TRAS) is a three-phase AC inverter for asynchronous traction motors. FAQ
- Hyster J2.5XN does not drive, shows fault code 22 (I_SHT). Is it definitely the controller?
- Fault 22 detects an output short. Before sending the controller: (1) disconnect motor cables and restart — if fault clears, problem is in motor windings or phase wiring, not the controller. (2) If fault remains with motor disconnected — controller has a blown IGBT module or failed LEM sensor. Send the controller for diagnosis.
- After replacing ACE2 controller on Hyster E2.0XN, fault 86 NO FIELD FLUX appears. What to do?
- After controller replacement, Auto-Tuning procedure is mandatory via ZAPI Console: controller must learn the specific motor parameters (inductance, resistance, inertia). Connect laptop with ZAPI Console via CAN dongle → PROGRAMMING → MOTOR TUNING → START. Procedure takes 2–5 min. If it fails — measure motor windings. Acore performs calibration as part of controller repair service.

- Is fault 37 (CONTACTOR CLOSED) dangerous?
- Yes — fault 37 means mechanically welded main contactor contacts that do not open despite the control signal. The forklift cannot regeneratively brake and may move uncontrollably after releasing the joystick. Immediate operational stop and replace Albright SW180 or Tyco EV200 contactor. Repair cost: 700–1,800 PLN.
